iPhone 6

It seems like it was only yesterday that Apple launched the 5S. But as always, rumours of the next model are already circulating all over the blogosphere. Everything going to be discussed in this post should be taken with a pinch of salt as it is all based on leaks and rumours.

So what are we expecting from the next generation iPhone? As always we always want a bigger screen. (May be not Lumia 1520 territory), Faster chipset and a newer version of IOS. If the rumours are true, Apple is going to deliver on all the three fronts.

iPhone 6 size and Display.

The coming iPhone is rumoured to come in two sizes. Yes people you heard me right, 2 sizes. There will be a smaller 4.7 or 4.8 inch version. That's about the size of a Samsung Galaxy SIII. And a larger 5.5 or 5.7 inch version. This is Galaxy Note III territory. Apple has finally bowed to phablet pressure. Both devices are said to feature Ultra Retina displays of about 389 ppi and will be powered by Quantum Dots (QD) technology. All this will be protected by Sapphire glass which is said to be stronger than Gorilla glass.

The iPhone 6 is rumoured to feature a more curved body, thinner bezels and a much slimmer profile at about 7 mm with a camera bump like that of the latest iPod touch. So you can imagine a slimmer Galaxy S IV.

iPhone 6 Technical Specifications

The coming iPhone is going to be run iOS 8 (No details yet). It will be powered by the new A8 processor which is rumoured to be about 2.6Ghz and a much more powerful GPU.  WIFI will be faster thanks to the new 5G 802.11ac chip from Broadcom. It is also said that it will feature a 10-mega pixel camera with a f/1.8 aperture.

Prepare your can of salt for this one. There are rumours about battery charging technology that will allow the phone to charge from 0% to 100% within 5 minutes.

If you are an Apple faithful, don't be shy to let us know what you are most excited about or think could be improved. Personally if all this turns out true or better, I may just jump ship.
