If you have used Windows Phone, you will have noticed the utterly disorganised and not so good looking Settings Menu that is NOT organised in any order, By this I mean neither alphabetically nor categorically. I worked out a simple idea that can solve some of these issues.
Original Settings menu |
Its is not only disorganised, It is ugly. Probably the ugliest part of Windows Phone that you just cannot avoid as you always have to visit it to simply turn on your WIFI radio.
The concept used is based on closed tabs which open when tapped to give show the settings details. Some settings which just require an OFF an ON button such as Screen Rotation, provide the button at the surface, so you don't have to go into the details
The images show a Light theme and a Dark theme version of the app. All graphics are perfect rectangles without rounded corners to conform with the Windows Phone design regulations. No gradients are used. Only flat colors. The toggle switches have been replaced by buttons which are grey when off and are of the theme color when on.
The renders don't sort the menu in any order either but that wasn't their main intention.
Download the following screen shots and try them out on your device. Hit me back with a comment about what you think. If anyone of you has a cousin working at MIcrosoft's Windows Phone division, do us all a favor and pass this on. I have looked through all of Windows Phone 8.1 leaks but nothing seems to address this issue.
